I opened Luna and Fig on Etsy in March of 2016, after many many years of dreaming. I began making random and quirky cloth toys for my daughter back in 2007, when my daughter was ever so wee, and the flicker of a dream was born. In eight years I have sent well over 1,800 Luna and Fig dolls out into the wild; existing all over North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Additionally, I created a special Nutcracker collection as Artist in Residence for Ballet Des Moines.

Throughout time my dolls have evolved from floppy 18-inch cloth dolls to miniature art dolls in a variety of sizes. They’re intended to be works of art to delight the dreamy beings who are never too old for beautiful dolls. They’re perfect for display, pocket travel, and gentle play.

My process is very free flowing and the result is unique. You will never see the same doll twice. I source mostly handspun yarns from incredible (local and ethical) artists. I create in a way that makes me happy and I find great joy in the process. I hope you can feel the love in each doll. Handmade is magic.
